Penelop Heller, a patient of Chondrosarcoma, a rare cancer of bones and joints, underwent surgery for removal of cancer affected parts. She received Gore-Tex and Bone cement impants which caused trouble with pain and breathing. She later agreed to get a 3D Printed Sternum and Partial Rib Cage made of titanium and porous polyethylene. She is now the first patient in United States to recieve this treatment.
